So the next korean product that i am using in my skincare routine is the Cosrx Galactomyces 95 Whitening Power Essence.

INGREDIENT LIST

Let's look at the super minimalistic ingredient list :

Galactomyces Ferment Filtrate, Niacinamide, Sodium Hyaluronate, Betaine, Panthenol, Glycerin, 1,2-Hexanediol, Allantoin, Butylene Glycol, Xanthan Gum, Ethyl Hexanediol, Adenosine.

THE EFFECTS OF THE STAR INGREDIENTS

1. Galactomyces Ferment Filtrate 95.4%, a nutrient dense yeast and byproduct of fermented sake. It increases product absorption into the skin and makes other ingredients in a solution more potent. In cosmetics it’s used as a moisturizing agent and has antioxidant effects. It causes epidermal cells to produce hyaluronic acid, and helps protect the skin from environmental stress.

2. Niacinamide 2%, treats hyper pigmentation  and brightens skin tone. Fights acne and performs comparatively better than antibiotics in clinical trials. Helps hydrate and improve the skin’s barrier function. Increases collagen production and helps winkles.

3. Adenosine 0.04%, a soothing yeast-derived ingredient with skin-restoring, anti-aging, and anti-inflammatory benefits.

HOW TO USE 

After cleansing and toning, apply a small amount on your entire face. Gently pat using fingertips to aid absorption, and then go forth with your moisturizers.

VERDICT

The COSRX Galactomyces 95 Whitening Power Essence comes in the same kind of simple, semi-transparent plastic pump bottle. The pump dispenses a small amount of product at a time, so you may need more than one pump to cover your face, and definitely more than one for face, neck, and upper chest.

The product itself is a clear liquid and is noticeably thicker than water and is easy to spread evenly across the face.

After over two months, is still have 3/4th of the bottle left.

Despite its thickness, the essence dries down very quickly leaving no sticky residue behind.

It really does have brightening and hydrating power.

I’d definitely recommend this to all looking for an inexpensive essence to brighten up your dull skin.
